Wilmington Dance Theatre’s mission is to inspire artists and audiences alike by creating extraordinary works of art through original productions and performances in a supportive atmosphere of excellence, while educating and enriching our community locally and abroad.
Under the umbrella of WDT, is Turning Pointe Dance Fellowship for dancers that do discipleship training—Bible study, prayer, devotions, worship and encouraging one another in faith, as well as choreography and technique training—all related to giving our excellence to honor God. Our dance ministry is committed to honoring and glorifying Jesus Christ through the performing arts. Our vision is to reach out and minister to students, so that they can minister God to others. Our goal is to bring teaching, fellowship and ministry opportunities to middle school, high school and college students.

Wilmington Dance Theatre has its residence at the Wilmington Conservatory of Fine Arts.
Wilmington Dance Theatre has a Junior Company, a Senior Company, and an adult/alumni program. Acceptance into these programs is by audition only. Please contact us at 910-240-2222 for more information.
Our long-term goals for WDT are multi-dimensional, as we are hoping to host a Project Dance event here in Wilmington in the future. In addition, we are looking forward to creating a professional company and pre-professional training program. Our goal is to offer weekly dance classes and seasonal workshops to provide accessible training and dance ministry, technique, choreography, and leadership.
As we are dreaming much larger than our capacity, we are hoping to find the people who share in our mission and vision and will come alongside WDT to guide us with wisdom and integrity. Our prayer is for WDT is to enlarge our board, bringing in some new members with nonprofit and board room experience.
